We had a memorable journey on the train from Puno to Cusco. Passing through little town centres where the locals literally had to pack up their market stalls and move out of the trains way as we plummeted through. The trip was on the whole relaxing apart from the rowdy English holiday makers in football shirts who embarked after the first hour (they did seem a little out of place in Peru - Majorca would have been more fitting!) The other glitch, was when we came to a sudden stop half way through the journey when an unfortunate old lady didn't make it off the track in time! This was actually quite upsetting as it ended up being fatal for her!
Anyway, when we eventually got to Cusco we were greeted by a majestic ancient Inca city, with fantastic architecture, restaurants and Plazas, with plenty of Inca ruins to visit in the city as well as the surrounding countryside.
