After leaving the Whitsundays we headed further south to Cape Hillsborough National Park to see the Kangaroos at sunrise. After seeing Phill off in Sydney we headed to Outback Queensland and spent a few days gem fossicking in Saphire and walking in the vast Carnarvon Gorge where the Kangaroos are man size and the Kookaburras stare you out! Then life became a beach or freshwater lake at Fraser Island before checking out the surf and tack at Surfers Paradise on the Queensland / New South Wales border.
