After New Zealand we headed to Tahiti in French Polynesia. We spent one day in Papeete, the capital of Tahiti, before heading to Hauri Point on the island of Mo'orea. We spent 5 days at the Mo'orea Village hotel in a lovely garden hut - and basically did nothing! We needed to relax after the constant go of New Zealand, and we found the perfect spot. Although it was rain season the weather was fantastic, with a brilliant sunset every night. The most strenuous thing we did in 5 days was cycle 20 kilometres to get some money out of a bank, as getting money from any bank proved quite difficult in French Polynesia.
